Humane Society Budget 2005

The chart below shows the breakdown of the Humane Society expenses for 2005.  As you can see, most of our money (73%) goes for fundamental necessities like medical care and food.  Another 19% covers various expenses related to animal housing (including the Humane Society office, where many of our cats are housed), boarding and associated costs.  Our fundraising costs are about 5%, including things like posters, T-shirts, and mailing announcements.
